After breakfast, proceed to a half day guided tour of London. Start by visiting one of the most well-known landmarks in the world, Big Ben and explore the political and social heart of London. Get your camera ready to take pictures of The Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. Hear stories of treason, Royal weddings and the political system. Once you step out of the park, you will see Buckingham Palace and St James Palace. Arrive in time for the impressive Changing of The Guard, something no tourist should miss. Next, the tour will make its way to Trafalgar Square where you will see and learn of one of the greatest Naval leaders this country has seen- Admiral Horatio Nelson. Later, reach the departure jetty on the Thames River, and step onto your comfortable sightseeing boat. Have your camera ready as you sail by some of London’s best-known sights, and drink in the wonderful views of the river, its bridges and the north and south banks. As you sail, listen to the interesting live commentary from the onboard guide. Learn the stories of the landmarks as they roll by, then collect your tickets and make your own way to the London Eye, one of London’s most iconic landmarks, on the south bank of the Thames River, and gaze up at the gigantic structure. After Breakfast, check out and continue your journey towards the Lake District. You’ll wind through the picturesque hills, visit charming English villages and take in the majesty of the idyllic lakes. Arrive in Edinburgh by evening and check into the hotel. Overnight in Edinburgh.

After breakfast, depart Edinburgh and head to Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands, stopping along the way to hear insightful commentary from your guide. Pass by Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument and Linlithgow Palace — the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots — en route to Glencoe, a Highland glen filled with eerie tales about the Clan MacDonald massacre of 1692. Journey onward through the 18th-century Fort William, and gaze out at the Scottish Highlands, including the Great Glen. Reaching Fort Augustus, disembark on the shores of Loch Ness.
