Hamta Pass sits at an altitude of 14,270ft on the Pir Panjal range in the Himalayas. It is a small corridor between Lahaul’s Chandra Valley and the Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh.
We depart from Delhi around 6 PM in an AC Vehicle.
• We will reach Manali by morning. Then you can check in
to the hotel.
• Get your rooms allotted, get refreshed.
• Later enjoy local sightseeing visiting Hadimba Devi
Temple and Tibetan Monastery.
• Visit mall road in the evening and come back to the
hotel.
• Enjoy dinner with bonfire and music.
• Overnightstay in hotel.
• Wake up in the morning, get refreshed and have
breakfast in the hotel. Later we will check out the hotel
and head towards Jobra, which is the starting point of the
trek.
• The drive is scenic and 2 hours long. Then we reach the
beginning point which is situated beside to the
AllainGuhugal Hydel Project junction and start the trek.
The initial trek is through the pine forest until we reach
the Rani river valley. The forest route lasts for around one
hour and we arrive on an open green land. We descend
down and take the route going through the valley. The
further route takes 2 hours to reach the Chika campsite.
The entire trail is flat and mild uphill and it passes
through the valley along the Rani river. We reach our
campsite maximum by 4 PM and relax.
• Overnightstay in dome tents.
• Post breakfast, we start our today’s trek to Balu Ka
Ghera.
• It takes about 5 hours to reach the campsite. We will
have to cross a stream to reach the campsite.
• The trail is a mix of gradual ascents and descents and a
flat walk after river crossing to reach the campsite.
• Overnightstay in camps.
• Post breakfast,start the trek for Shea Goru.
• The initial trail is an gradual ascent which will lead you
to a slope of boulders and rough terrain.
• We will also reach the highest altitude today at
Hampta Pass(14,100ft).
• The ascent to the pass is a hard mount but once you’re
at the top you can hardly feel the exhaustion.
• The second half of today’s trek is the steep descent
followed by a flat walk to reach Shea Goru. The
descent is trickier than the ascent.
• From the bottom trek to Shea Goru is an easy flat walk
and will take a couple of hours to reach.
• Overnightstay in camps.
• Today's trek is the easiest of all as we have to descend all
the way to Chattru. We start by crossing the icy cold
Sheagoru river and continue the trek on the right side of
the river. After about one hour, we start seeing the road.
It takes around 3 hours to reach Chattru. Relax and have
lunch at the Chattru campsite. Then we start our drive
towards the Chandratal lake if the weather remains
good.
• Reach Chandratal, also called Moon Lake, is situated on
the Samudra Tapu plateau in the Spiti valley. Nestled
amidst the mountains, at an altitude of 4,290 meters
above the sea level, the lake is known for its clear blue
waters, magnificent views of CB-12 peak and pristine
environment
• Wake up and get ready for your journey back to Manali.
On your way back we passthrough the Atal Tunnel.
• The road journey is quite scenic.
• We reach Manali by evening, Later we will continue our
journey towards Delhi.
Reach Delhi in the morning with lots of amazing memories to remember for lifetime.
