Today you take the rack-railroad that starts from Montreux and continues past forests, meadows and rocks up to Rochers-deNaye, overcoming a difference in altitude of 1600m. After breakfast you take the Rhone valley the train takes you up to the mountain resort of Zermatt at the foot of the Matterhorn. The car-free village has very well preserved its original character. Today the Gornergrat cog railway takes you to the summit at 3883 m in altitude and offers a fascinating panoramic view of the Matterhorn and summits of the Swiss, Italy and French Alps. In the morning get on board the world famous Glacier Express to St. Moritz, which crosses no less than 291 bridges and goes through 91 tunnels. Today you leave Lucerne in the morning by train to get to the mountain resort of Engelberg. From here you start your trip to the top of Mount Titlis at 3020 M. It offers a sensational panoramic view, eternal snow and ice and the world’s first revolving gondola “Rotair”. Take your time to travel by train via the Brünig Pass to Interlaken – famous as movie sets for Bollywood movies! The village lies on an alluvial plain between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and is presided over by the three mighty mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. In the morning enjoy the train ride to Brienz, famous for its wood carver shops. From here the steam train takes about one hour to climb the 1,678 metres difference in height. Take the train from Interlaken to the Kleine Scheidegg at the foot of the famous Eiger.
